Rumors were adrift in Kollywood that Ajith had replaced Cheeyan in the next Vikram Kumar (Yaavarum Nalam fame) directed flick. But all buzz died down when reports started flowing in that Cheeyan Vikram, who is presently camping in Ladakh for director Selvaraghavan’s film, will fly down to Chennai in a couple of days and begin shooting for the Vikram Kumar venture in December.

Reports from Kollywood suggest that Cheeyan Vikram will work in both these projects simultaneously. The Yaavarum Nalam fame director, Vikram Kumar, has tentatively named his project as 24, we hear.

The buzz in Kollywood is that Jayam Raja is gearing up to commence work on Vijay’s project soon. It is said that the ground work would begin in December and the shooting sometime in March 2010.

Jayam Raja will direct Vijay for the first time and the star had given his go-ahead a couple of months ago. While the director is a master of remakes, this time around he had penned a script specially for Ilayathalapathi.

The director, it is worth mentioning here, is currently busy directing his sibling Jayam Ravi in Thillalangadi.

It’s not too long since we told you that Dhanush and K Jawahar are planning for another venture after their hugely successful Yaradi Nee Mohini and the upcoming Kutty. Ready, it will be. A remake of the Telugu superhit of the same name that had Genelia and Ram in the lead. Looks like the name Ready will be retained for the Tamil version too which makes it Jawahar’s consecutive third venture with Dhanush.

That apart, Genelia will make a comeback of sorts to Tamil after the hit Santosh Subramanian. Ready will be produced by Mohan and Ramesh for Balaji Studios private limited.

Sibiraj, unlike his father Sathyaraj, entered the filmdom as hero but will be donning the villain role after playing the protagonist in several films. The star is currently busy with Nanayam in which he plays a negative role. Speaking about this, Sibiraj said that he took up the role as his father suggested it had enough scope to perform.

He added that Prasanna, who had the image of a soft romantic hero, was portrayed as a very crude villain in Anjathe and this inspired him to take up the role in Nanayam. Sibiraj hopes that despite being a negative character, Nanayam would bring him the laurels that he deserves.
